by Mr. Uwe Wortmann (2009-10-19) in group We Love BPM

Event date: 2009-10-19

October 28, 2009 – 05.00 p.m. (German time, UTC +1), 11.00 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time, i.e. New York)

Today’s challenges in Governance, Risk & Compliance Management (GRC) are all about solving discrepancies. Meeting the requirements of laws and regulations that impact your business is a necessity, but it is no core activity and is cost-intensive. Identifying risks is of high importance, but must not be exaggerated by the introduction and assessment of thousands of risks. Mitigating risks with controls and complying with regulations is needed, but not through fragmented, individual controlling activities. Finally, although ‘being in control’ is a weekly agenda point of the Board and higher management, it shouldn’t overshadow the company’s commercial objectives. In other words: companies are looking for a sustainable solution to balance control and commerce. The ARIS Solution for GRC Management is the answer.

Using the example of a virtual company, we will demonstrate the benefits of the ARIS Solution for GRC from the perspective of different roles, i.e. from C-level executives and LoB managers to GRC specialists and end users. They work with one frame of reference in a single ARIS repository. On October 28 (05.00 p.m. German time, UTC +1) this demonstration provides you with a good insight into the advantages on company and role levels.
