BPMN in ARIS

by Mr. Craig Brasuell (2012-02-01) in group We Love BPM

Hi,

Some questions:

I've read through some good content regarding BPMN on ARIS.  One hyperlink that Sebastian documented has a 404 when accessed: ARIS Expert Paper about "Adopting BPMN with ARIS".  Can we get this this hyperlink fixed or another hyperlink created?  I would like to read the doc.

As discussed one of the challenges with BPMN is supporting non-BPMN objects such as KPI, Risk etc. that are supported by an Object Library.  One approach is to use a Function Allocation Diagram per BPMN Activity.  This approach does have its drawbacks.  FADs have to be created manually as FAD show/hide functionality does not work.

Has anyone come up with a better approach than using FADs to support non BPMN objects/symbols?

Thanks

Craig

Dear Craig,

You can access the ARIS white paper Adpoting BPMN in ARIS from Software AG's Resource Center with 28 white papers about ARIS. The one-time registration is free of charge.

You might be also interested in reading Modeling BPMN 2.x in ARIS 7.2 as part of the ARIS documentation.
