Get ARIS BI Modeler for the conceptual design
How do you design your conceptual requirements in SAP BW projects? Do you use different tools and have no integration when you want to reuse existing BI-structures in the design step?
With ARIS BI Modeler you can support your complete BI projectsteps. Beginning with the step of visualization Business Content, which you have not to activate at your BW-System, following by extracting existing dataflows to ARIS BI Modeler and change it or enhance it concerning the requirements from the business side and last but not least to extract only the datasources from the BW System.
To extract the datasources directly from your BW System is a new feature of ARIS 7.1 SR_08. Here a little documentation how you can use it.

this is indeed... pretty cool. Yep. Would be nice to see more interesting details about the BI modeler, such things like video demos, detailed whitepapers and so on showing more in detail the core functionality of the modeler. What I really would like to see are the following topics:
- possibility to extract the details in the transformation (konstants, forumlas and especially routines ;-)
- documentation capabilities (export to word documents and/or excel tables)
- push back mechanism of changes applied to the model into BW.
